General Information: The Caprivi Region is the far north-eastern extremity of Namibia, gateway to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Chobe National Park in Botswana. A complex network of rivers and relatively high summer rainfall have turneKing's Den Lodge & Zambezi Queen Namibiad this area into a fertile King's Den Lodge & Zambezi Queen Namibia roomwilderness of riverine forests, floodplains, swamps and open woodland providing a home to a rich abundance of wildlife. This is the place to see vast herds of Elephant, Buffalo, Red Lechwe, as well as rare and endangered species such as Sitatunga and Tsessebe. The bird life is especially rich - more than 400 species have been recorded in the area.

Location: Chobe King's Den Lodge is situated in the east Caprivi on the banks of the Chobe River, which forms the border of 4 countries (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia). The lodge is equally easy accessible from these countries as well as from South Africa. Guests will be met at the Kasane immigration office in Botswana and transferred to the lodge by boat. The guests leave their vehicles at the Kasane border post, at secured parking.

Accommodation: 10 wooden chalets with balconies overhanging the river, offer a magnificent view of the Chobe and Sedudu (Kasikili) Island. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with ceiling fans. The ZambezZambezi Queen Namibia - roomi Queen, moored on the river at the lodge, offers another 8 air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities and lounge.

Zambezi Queen: All double rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower; a lounge and a sliding door leading to a private walk way. All single rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower/bath with a communal sitting room. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have a hairdryer.

The Zambezi Queen operates on the Chobe River, situated between Namibia and Botswana. The boat is based on the banks of the Caprivi Strip and is only a few kilometers from the place where uniquely, four countries meet, namely Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.

The Zambezi Queen cruises on the banks of the magnificent Chobe National Park with its teeming wildlife and approximately 120 000 elephants and over 400 species of birds. The boat is also only 70 km by road from one of the great wonders of the world, namely the Victoria Falls.

Transfers from airport to the boat are by road and takes approximately 90 minutes. Road transfer guests will be collected from immigration situated on the banks of the river at Kasane in Botswana for the 10 minute boat transfer to our docking station.

Access to the Zambezi Queen on the Namibian side is made possible by a 30 minute charter flight from Victoria Falls to Impalila Island followed by a 10 minute boat ride aboard one of the tender boats.
