Umvuvu Rest Camp is a very small rustic tented camp in the Okavango Delta situated at the bottom end of the panhandle on Gau Island, 15 km south of Seronga, no vehicles can get there.

Vehicles will be left a short distance away on the mainland and visitors will be transferred by a Mokoro boat across the main part of the delta to the the camp. Umvuvu is a self-catered camp with serviced tents and bar available and tourist safari activities.

This Delta camp site is the ideal place be part of your Africa adventures with mokoro safari trails or walking safari trips into the Okavango Delta.

Umvuvu camp offers once in a lifetime experience where visitors get to either spend the night out on a bush excursion with Umvuvu professional guides or relax in camp with unique bush experiences that an island in the Okavango Delta can offer: game flights, scenic walks, African wildlife, excellent bird watching, traditional song and dance, mokoro safaris for day and overnight excursions, fully stocked bar, showers and ablutions and much more.

Umvuvu Camp has a cooking area and fireplace that has tables and chairs paraffin lights and 12 volt.

Preparation area for cooking food, braai stand, single gas cooker good drinking water and Falkirk cooking pots numbers 1, 3, and 4.

Ablutions have hot and cold showers and flush toilets. Hosts have a medium stocked bar.

Included in rates: tented accommodation, walk-in tents with beds sheets, etc., all activities: guided mokoro trips, guided game walks, island walk, sunrise/sunset mokoro.
